My Best Laugh of the Week
In an oped piece for the New York Times, (March 5, 2005) Jessica Queller, a writer for "The Gilmore Girls," describes her mother growing up "in a small house on the outskirts of Beverly Hills." I can just see the dust rising from the rutted gravel road as the family's battered Chevy pickup coughs its way back from the general store with a slab of bacon, a sack of flour and baby sister's first pair of store-bought shoes.
